Here's What Day One Looks Like
You Are Not Carrying This Alone
You have been holding a lot. The schedules, the worries, the appointments, the prayers nobody else knows you're praying. Somewhere in the holding, you stopped being someone who also needs care.
Today, you don't have to fix any of it. You only have to notice that you were never meant to carry it by yourself.
Pray: Lord, I am tired. Meet me here, before I have anything figured out. Amen.
Write: What is the heaviest thing you are carrying right now?
One small act of care today: Drink a full glass of water before your first cup of coffee.
Your Body Is a Temple
Modern wellness can make you feel like three different women. One takes care of her body. One tries to manage her thoughts. One shows up on Sunday and tends to her faith. Three priorities, three to-do lists, and none of them connect.
But God did not create you in pieces.
Your physical health shapes how you think. Your thoughts shape how you feel. Your spiritual life runs through all of it. Body, mind, and spirit were always meant to work together, and each one is worthy of care.
"Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God... therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
"Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God... therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
Stewardship is not perfection.
Sometimes worship looks like prayer. Sometimes it looks like rest, or a nourishing meal, or taking your supplements, or keeping the appointment you've rescheduled twice. Small choices, but together they say something true:

Who Needed It First
I started Pink Stork in 2015 because I was pregnant, sick, and couldn't find anything that actually helped. Six kids later, I've learned that the hardest seasons aren't the ones where you need a better routine. They're the ones where you need to be reminded that you're not alone in them, and that taking care of yourself is not a betrayal of everyone depending on you.
That's what these 40 days are. Not a program to finish. A companion for the season you're actually in.
