What the research says about preconception health

Trying-to-conceive nutrition, grounded in evidence.

Below is what published research says about the ingredients in this formula and the broader science of preconception health.

  1. Vitex (Chasteberry) is one of the most-studied herbs for cycle and PMS support.

A 2017 systematic review in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine examined Vitex agnus-castus across multiple randomized trials and found consistent improvement in PMS symptom scores. The proposed mechanism is gentle modulation of dopaminergic activity, which influences prolactin balance.

  2. ACOG recommends Vitamin B6 as a first-line option for pregnancy nausea.

ACOG Practice Bulletin 189 specifically recommends Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) as a first-line intervention for nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, alone or combined with doxylamine. The recommended dose range is 10-25 mg every 8 hours, supported by multiple randomized clinical trials.

  3. Inositol is studied for ovulatory function in women with PCOS-pattern cycles.

A 2017 systematic review in European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences summarized Inositol clinical trials in women with PCOS and reported consistent improvements in ovulatory and metabolic markers. The Myo to D-Chiro ratio matters for the targeted outcome.

  4. Ashwagandha is studied in randomized trials for stress and serum cortisol.

A 2019 randomized, double-blind clinical trial published in Medicine reported that 60-day Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) supplementation produced statistically significant reductions in self-reported stress, anxiety scores, and serum cortisol versus placebo in adults with chronic stress.

Amy Suzanne, Pink Stork founder
From Amy, Founder + CEO

Pink Stork started because I couldn't find a supplement I trusted for my own pregnancy. Every formula since has been built with our OBGYN-led medical council, third-party tested, and made with the bioavailable forms, Methylated Folate, Chelated Iron, Algae DHA, my own kids deserve. We're still independent, still woman-owned, and still run by me. I take this every day.

Why Pink Stork

What we believe, and what we won't compromise on.

We've spent a decade saying no to the shortcuts the rest of the supplement industry says yes to. Here's the standard we hold ourselves to, in plain English.

  1. Bioavailable forms, every single time.

Methylfolate over folic acid. Chelated Iron over ferrous sulfate. Methylcobalamin over cyanocobalamin. We pay more so your body can actually use what's on the label.

  2. Real ingredients. Real names. Real forms.

Every ingredient is named on the panel, in its bioavailable form. No anonymous 'special blends' designed to hide what's actually in the bottle.

  3. Third-party tested every batch.

Independent labs verify potency, label accuracy, heavy metals, and microbes, every lot, before it ships.

  4. Expert-Panel Reviewed, doctor-reviewed.

Built and reviewed by our six-person, OBGYN-led medical advisory council. Real doctors with real practices and real patients, not paid spokespeople.

  5. Independent and woman-owned.

Still independent. Not owned by Unilever or Nestlé. Not for sale. Accountable to the women who take our products, not to investors waiting on an exit.

  6. Built on faith, family, and a better standard for moms.

Founded a decade ago by Amy, a mom who couldn't find supplements she trusted, and built them. She still owns Pink Stork. She still runs it. And she still takes them every single day.

Questions we get a lot

Good questions. Real answers.

Is this product pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly?
We do not recommend taking our Fertility Support while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Is this product gluten free?
Yes, our Fertility Support is gluten free!
Is this product vegetarian friendly?
Yes, our Fertility Support is vegetarian friendly!
Can I open + empty the capsule into a drink or food?
Absolutely! You can customize your intake method to suit your needs + tastes. Some women may add to a beverage like a smoothie, while others stir into yogurt, applesauce, or whatever they prefer!
When should I start taking your Fertility Support?
You may start taking our Fertility Support whenever you’d like! We recommend taking this supplement daily throughout your entire cycle until you receive a positive pregnancy test. However, some women begin these products on the first day of their cycle and consume until ovulation occurs, or until a positive pregnancy test occurs. As each woman is unique, please be sure to speak with your care provider about your personal needs.
Will this mess up my regular cycle or throw off my period?
We do have women with regular cycles who only see positive changes with our Fertility Support. While our Fertility Support is not meant to interrupt your cycle, it is possible to see a change in your cycle/ovulation when you first begin the supplement due to the nature of the product. As each woman is unique, we do recommend speaking with your doctor to ensure this product is a good fit for you!
What is the difference between your Fertility Support and a prenatal vitamin?
Our Fertility Support is designed to support hormones, healthy cycles, and natural fertility for the purpose of conception. A prenatal vitamin is designed for use during pregnancy and has all the vitamins you and your baby need pre-delivery. A prenatal vitamin can also be taken while trying to conceive and as an everyday multivitamin.
Can I take this product with other medications or supplements?
Our Fertility Support can be taken along with other Pink Stork supplements, as our products are designed to work together for full-body care. We recommend checking-in with your doctor when starting a new regimen to ensure all your health needs are being met.

If you're looking to take our Fertility Support with another non-Pink Stork product, we recommend checking-in with your doctor to make sure our Fertility Support is compatible with your current regimen or medications.
Does this contain any hormones?
No, our products do not contain any hormones.
Can men take Fertility Support?
We do not recommend that men use our Fertility Support as it is formulated for women. However, we offer a Men’s Fertility Support supplement that is formulated just for men!
How many do I take per day?
The recommended serving size of our Fertility Support is two capsules daily. You may take these two capsules together, or split them up into two doses daily.
What is the difference between these, the Fertility Tea, and Fertility Gummies?
While our Fertility Support, Fertility Tea, and Fertility Gummies do have some similarities, they are different products with different ingredients. Our Fertility Support is a supplement that consists of two capsules daily. The capsules contain a special blend of vitamins and herbs that are designed to support hormones, healthy cycles, and natural fertility. Our Fertility Tea consists of specifically chosen herbs that are designed to support hormones and healthy cycles. Our Fertility Gummies are formulated with Myo-Inositol and other vitamins to provide essential vitamins and nutrients to support a healthy uterus, ovulation, and hormones. We have many women that use the products alongside each other, while others choose only one!
