Choose Kindness

The year 2020 has been a challenging year for most of us. We have had to learn to make a lot of adjustments in our lives and this holiday season will be no exception. Christmas can be one of the most joyful times of the year but for others it can be an extremely stressful time! You never know what the people around you are going through or how much a simple act of kindness can leave such a strong impact on another person.

This holiday season we are encouraging you to "Sprinkle Hope" by completing acts of kindness in your schools, workplaces, homes & communities. Whether it be something as simple as paying for the person behind you in lines coffee or donating to a local charity. With all that is going on in the world it can be easy to get wrapped up in our own problems but kindness can bring meaning to our lives, the lives of others, and to the world.

In fact, research has even shown that kindness can have a positive effect on your health! The act of helping others actually activates the part of your brain that makes you feel pleasure. It also releases your "feel-good" hormone that helps modulate social interactions and emotion — the higher your levels, the more generous you may be.

Kindness is contagious!! So this holiday season spread kindness instead of germs. Join our Faithfully Female Facebook group and share with us some ways that you have been spreading kindness during this holiday season to inspire hope in others.
