old and flu season can be the toughest part of the year, especially when you have little ones. Kids, unlike adults, do not care if their hands are clean or if that cookie has been on the floor for more than a minute. Trust me, they will still eat the cookie. Many hands make light work, while messy hands make for sniffly noses. That’s why we’ve come up with this list of germ fighting tips to help you be the Super Mama you always have been!
- Clean EVERYTHING
From your kids, doorknobs, toys, to their lunch boxes grab a wipe and get goin’! According to the NHS, flu viruses are able to live on any surface for up to 24 hours. That means yesterday’s sniffles can be today’s problem, too. Most of the time we don’t even realize how many dirty, icky, things we’ve touched throughout the day.
- Wash ALL the hands
Our hands have to be in the top 5 of the most germ-filled parts of our body. Think about it, we use them constantly to pick up, clean up, and even wipe up messes. We know how to wash up, but sometimes getting your little ones to follow along can be a challenge. That’s why I’ve used the “Wash Your Hands” song to make cleaning up just as fun as getting dirty! It goes along to “Row Row Row Your Boat” perfectly, we sing it once for the tops of our hands and another time for our palms to keep the germs away.
