Finding out that you're pregnant can be such a fun and exciting time! But it can be intimidating figuring out all of the products that you need and when you will need them, especially when there are so many out there. Even before you get that positive pregnancy test you have to find the perfect prenatal to use for before, during, and after pregnancy.
At Pink Stork, we aim to provide you with products that are the best fit for you and your needs! In this post, we will be answering some of the most commonly asked questions about our Total Prenatal.
What type of folate do you use in the Total Prenatal?
Our Total Prenatal contains Quatrefolic folate.
Does this product have Folic Acid?
Each serving of our Total Prenatal contains 600 mcg DFE of L-Methylfolate, it is the most bioavailable form which is why specifically use it over any other type of form. We do not use Folic Acid but choose to use Folate as it is the natural, more absorbable form. Many women (and men) also cannot metabolize folic acid due to a gene mutation as well and our Total Prenatal is a good fit for that! Our other prenatal vitamins and many other products also use Folate. As every woman is unique, we do recommend speaking with your physician or qualified healthcare provider about your personal needs.
Why does the total prenatal contain so much folate and B12?
Folate: You can have too much folic acid, which turns into unmetabolized folic acid, but we don’t use folic acid. We use Quatrefolic Folate and L-Methylfolate.
For Vitamin B12, many women need a higher dose than the bare minimum while pregnant and our Total Prenatal provides that.
Does Total Prenatal contain sulfites?
Our manufacturer does not screen every material for sulfites. However, they also do not use materials that would normally contain sulfites. With that said, It’s highly unlikely that our supplements would come into contact with sulfites while being manufactured at the top rated facility.
These are just a few of the most common questions that we answer everyday about our Total Prenatal. We also have other prenatal options such as our Liquid Prenatal for an easier to swallow option or our Premium Prenatal which has Vitamin A in the form of Beta Carotene.
