As part of our Stork Spotlight series, we had the opportunity to sit down with Mandi Koski, our Amazon Account Director, to chat about her aspirations, her adorable dogs, and what it’s like to shop on Amazon all day.

What do you do at Pink Stork?

I’m the Amazon Account Director, which means I’m in charge of the maintenance, creation, and upkeep of all of our Amazon listings and anything Amazon-related. I also entertain the office by playing David Archuleta’s song Crush every day; it’s a masterpiece.

What’s your favorite part of what you do?

It’s kind of like a puzzle every day because Amazon switches things up and changes things on us all the time. Plus, I get to shop on Amazon all day, and I love shopping.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

The same thing as my favorite part. I like a challenge, so it’s fun to try to figure out what the new issue is and how to solve it. And not every day is the same, so that’s really exciting. If something goes down, or if the entire account gets taken down, I have to take care of it, and it’s fun (and scary!) having to solve a new issue every day.

Tell us your background. What did you do before your current role?

I came to Pink Stork right out of college. I played basketball at Flagler College for three years. When I graduated, I needed a job, so I went to the career fair. I met the Pink Stork team and started as a marketing intern, which I did for a month or two. Then, I was Amy’s assistant, then I went to the warehouse, where I was the operations manager for about a year. Now, I’m the Amazon Account Director.

What do you do for fun outside of work?

I like to run, go shopping, and get outdoors. I also love to hang out with Chris, my fiance, and our two dogs, Bebe and Winnie.

What inspires you?

Other people. I like to see how they’ve gotten to where they are and what they’ve been able to accomplish. For instance, our CEO Amy and COO Thomas were so young when they started this company, but they’ve been able to create so much for so many people. They inspire me, and I want to be like that. I’m 25, and I want to make something of my name and be something better for myself and my family.

Walk us through a day in your life.

Not every morning is the same. I’ve been trying to get up at 5 and go for a run, then I usually crash on the couch for like 15-20 minutes, shower, get dressed, hang out with the dogs for a bit, and try not to wake up Chris (but usually wake up Chris). I come to work, get a couple of snacks, work a bit, get more snacks, and probably go to Marshall’s or Target for lunch because I like to shop more than I like to eat. I’ll call Chris on the way home. Then, in the evenings, I’ll hang out with Jaren, Pink Stork’s Inventory Specialist, and do Cricut (we like to make a lot of stuff). Or I hang out with Chris; we’ll go on a bike ride or watch movies.

What do you love about living in St. Augustine?

I grew up here. I definitely like it if I haven’t left yet! I like that everything’s within walking distance or a 5-minute bike or car ride. Plus, my family’s 20 minutes away, and it’s just a beautiful city. You have the beach here. You have a huge city like Jacksonville close by. Everything is just close and easy. And if I want to travel, I can travel!

Favorite PS Product?

Total Energy Gummies or Total Cycle Gummies. I like Blue Raspberry things, and Total Cycle Gummies taste like Blue Raspberry AirHeads. I also use PMS Tea during that time of the month.
